Every Young Person Deserves a Future

Lunar Care was established in response to a clearly identified need for high-quality, local residential provision within the London Borough of Enfield. Too many young people are placed far from their families, schools, and support networks because suitable local placements aren't available — and that distance disrupts education, destabilises care, and weakens the relationships young people need most.

We've designed a small, deliberately limited service: up to five young people across a four-bed main house and a self-contained one-bed annex. The smaller scale lets us match placements carefully, respond flexibly to individual needs, and offer a lower-stimulation space where that helps — without breaking the stability of the wider group.

The home is led by people whose backgrounds are in education and pastoral leadership in the local area. That shapes the way we work — high expectations, a strong focus on re-engagement with learning, and an unwillingness to accept the narrative that young people in care should achieve less than their peers. Our care model is trauma-informed, relationship-based, and neurodiversity-aware, drawing on PACE, Positive Behaviour Support, and Team Teach.
